Description
The role develops and optimizes wet-etch processes for VCSELs, photodiodes, and edge-emitting lasers on GaAs and InP substrates. Responsibilities include controlling etch chemistry and selectivity, using metrology tools, troubleshooting process deviations, integrating processes into semiconductor fabrication, establishing SPC, qualifying new chemistries and equipment, documenting recipes and procedures, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. in a relevant field and at least 10 years of hands-on semiconductor wet-etch process-development experience, with cleanroom, chemical, and cross-functional collaboration requirements.
