Agnico Eagle is hiring an Environmental Intern at its Meliadine mine in Canada. Reporting to the Environment Coordinator, the intern will conduct wildlife, vegetation, air, soil, and water sampling; monitor and inspect mine roads and sites; implement environmental mitigation measures; prepare reports and work plans; and support stakeholder meetings and interdepartmental communication. The role requires enrollment in an undergraduate Environmental Science, Biology, or related program or an Environmental Technician college program, participation in a formal co-op program, outdoor work in summer and winter, and strong communication and organizational skills. The schedule is 14 days of work followed by 14 days for transportation and rest, with accommodations and meals provided on site.
