Description
The Wire EDM Operator programs, sets up, and operates wire EDM equipment to machine components according to supplied prints. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, creating 2- and 4-axis programs, fixture work, inspecting parts, maintaining machines and inventory, adjusting machine parameters, and following safety and quality procedures. The role requires CAD/CAM software knowledge, blueprint interpretation, shop mathematics, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; a high school or GED equivalent and technical training or vocational education are listed, along with 5+ years of on-the-job training or apprenticeship.
