Description
The Work Queue and Charge Capture Analyst serves as the primary liaison between the Department of Neurological Surgery and the off-site professional coding team. The role oversees charge capture, coding and denial work queues, billing audits, missing-charge resolution, patient-volume reconciliation, provider education, cash collections, financial counseling, cost estimates, charge entry and reconciliation, reporting, and provider credentialing across UCSF Neurosurgery programs and affiliated clinics. It analyzes denial and documentation trends, performs root-cause analysis, supports revenue optimization and compliance, and collaborates with finance, coding, information technology, revenue cycle, managed care, and billing teams.
