Description
The Workers’ Compensation Authorization Coordinator is responsible for obtaining pre-authorization for all diagnostics testing and surgical requests. This involves developing strong relationships with various stakeholders, understanding utilization review processes, conducting phone triage, documenting patient inquiries, consulting with medical providers, and ensuring accurate verification of patient demographics and insurance information. The coordinator must also understand and apply Massachusetts and Rhode Island workers’ compensation jurisdiction laws.
