The Waterways and Shipping Office Elbe-Nordsee is hiring a Works Yard Operations Manager for the municipal works depot in Wedel to coordinate and supervise maintenance, repairs, and shipyard operations for approximately 40 employees. The role covers ships, ship hulls, propulsion and navigation systems, electrical systems, and outdoor technical installations, while also managing workshop and trade supervisors and operational processes. The position requires a university engineering degree, German at C1 level, a class B driving licence, and knowledge of ship maintenance, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, occupational safety, and public procurement. It is offered on an indefinite basis, is suitable for part-time employment, and includes collective-agreement pay, relocation support, pension provision, and other benefits.
