Description
The Wound Care Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with wounds, ostomies, or skin integrity concerns at Solara Specialty Hospitals McAllen. Responsibilities include wound assessment, care-plan development, negative-pressure therapy, dressing changes, offloading, discharge planning, patient and staff education, skin-integrity prevention, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The role requires an accredited nursing program, a current RN license, BLS certification, at least two years of acute-care, skilled-nursing, outpatient, or home-health experience, and wound-care experience is preferred.
