Description
The Coder/Biller performs accurate medical coding and timely billing for professional services provided by hospital-based physicians. The role ensures compliance with federal and payer regulations, optimizes revenue capture, and minimizes denials. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably an associate’s degree, and at least two years of professional physician coding and billing experience. Knowledge of E/M guidelines, modifiers, payer rules, EHRs, and practice management systems, along with strong attention to detail and analytical skills, is also required.
