InspiredXpert is seeking a Senior Java / Scala Engineer in Cape Town for a permanent, full-time role with an immediate start. The position focuses on large-scale data migration, distributed data platforms, batch and streaming pipelines, data quality and lineage, production upgrades, testing, monitoring, observability, and end-to-end ownership of data solutions, with technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities. Candidates need at least 8 years of data or backend engineering experience, strong Java or Scala expertise, experience with ETL/ELT and Apache Spark, cloud data platform experience, Kubernetes exposure, and knowledge of data architecture, security, and compliance.
