Description
The Yard Manager oversees yard personnel and coordinates the loading, unloading, movement, receiving, storage, and delivery of building materials and equipment. The role includes inspecting shipments, preparing shipping documents, training new employees, maintaining yard safety and housekeeping, assisting customers, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED plus four years of experience performing and coordinating yard or manufacturing activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The work is primarily outdoors and requires frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 80 pounds.
