Description
The part-time Lumber Yard Worker reports to the Yard Foreman and sorts, racks, and moves lumber and building materials by grade, size, and work orders. The role includes customer service, loading and unloading deliveries, forklift or industrial truck operation, daily equipment inspections, inventory and loss-prevention procedures, and maintaining a clean yard. It requires a strong work ethic, basic instruction comprehension, communication, initiative, problem-solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; forklift experience is preferred. The position is physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and frequent lifting or moving of items up to 75 pounds.
