Description
The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is hiring a Lead Teacher – Early Learning Program to plan, supervise, and implement developmentally appropriate classroom programs for young children. The role uses the Creative Curriculum, creates lesson plans and daily routines, maintains a safe and engaging environment, monitors children, and communicates with families and educational partners. Candidates must be at least 20 years old, hold a CDA, AA, BA, or BS in early childhood education or a related field, have current CPR and First Aid certification, pass a physical exam and TB test, meet licensing and background requirements, and have three years of experience working with children plus one year teaching in a licensed center.
