Description
First Place for Youth is hiring a Youth Advocate to provide case management, psycho-social assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, referrals, advocacy, and life-skills training to transition-age foster youth. The role also coordinates with multidisciplinary teams and community providers, develops individualized youth-centered plans, and provides coaching and mentoring toward housing stability, employment, and educational achievement. It is a combination of onsite and community-based work Monday through Friday, with occasional evening, weekend, and travel work. The position requires a master's degree in social welfare, psychology, or an equivalent field, 1–2 years of relevant experience, professional licensure eligibility, a California driver's license and auto insurance, and the ability to pass a background check.
