Description
The Youth Counselor (NSD) is responsible for supervising and guiding youth in a residential facility, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being. They implement daily routines, manage behavior, and participate in recreational activities. The role involves maintaining sanitary conditions, providing transportation, and attending training. The Youth Counselor also communicates with staff, completes reports, and adheres to regulations. They work in juvenile justice facilities throughout the five boroughs of New York City and must be able to work various hours and days of the week, with mandatory overtime as needed.
