Description
The Youth Leader supports the YMCA’s mission by planning and leading age-appropriate recreational, educational, and social activities for children and teens. The role focuses on participant safety, relationship building, encouragement of teamwork and personal growth, recordkeeping, communication with supervisors, and program-area maintenance. It requires at least 18 college units in a relevant field, prior group experience with children or teens, strong communication and leadership skills, emergency-response ability, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days, and successful background checks. The position may involve evenings, weekends, school holidays, indoor and outdoor work, and active physical activity.
