Description
The City of Abilene is seeking a youth services librarian to manage and develop library collections and services for children and young adults from birth through age 18. The role includes selecting, cataloging, processing, and evaluating youth materials; providing reference and readers’ advisory services; supporting and presenting programs; preparing reports and statistics; collaborating across library branches; and supervising paraprofessional, technical, clerical, and volunteer staff. ALA-accredited MLS or MLIS, at least one year of experience in children’s literature or early childhood education, and a valid or attainable Texas driver’s license are required.
