Methodology and source
- Source
- Every row comes from the Alabama Department of Workforce's official WARN list(opens in new tab). We read the list once a day from the state's own site and keep each row as the state publishes it. This copy covers notices dated since January 1, 2025. A notice the state later takes off its list stays here. We add nothing the list doesn't say.
- Date
- The day ADOW received the notice, as its list shows it. The layoff itself usually starts at least 60 days later.
- Employer and location
- The company name as listed, with explicitly labeled store numbers trimmed; the name as listed appears under it when the two differ. Locations are the towns or counties the list names, with remote work shown separately.
- Workers
- Jobs affected as the list states them. "Not listed" means the list gives no number. The final count can differ from the notice.
- Company pages and jobs
- We link an employer to its Metaintro company page only when exactly one company profile has the same name (ignoring LLC, Inc. and Corp.), that profile has a logo or website, and it has open jobs in Alabama right now. Otherwise we show no link rather than guess.
- Limits
- Only layoffs big enough for the WARN Act or a state law need a notice, and only notices the state posts appear here. Amended notices show as the state lists them. This page is not legal advice.
