Description

Stampli is hiring an AI Backend Engineering Manager to lead and grow an AI/ML/backend engineering team, set technical direction, and oversee the design, deployment, scaling, and operationalization of GenAI and LLM-powered solutions across its B2B SaaS fintech automation platform. The role combines hands-on backend and AI engineering with people management, requiring substantial backend, data engineering, or ML engineering experience, technical leadership, Python, AI/ML frameworks, cloud-native architecture, microservices, NoSQL, real-time data pipelines, and strong communication and mentorship skills.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 7 years of experience as a backend developer, data engineer, or ML engineer.
At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience building and deploying AI-based solutions at scale.
Preferred Qualifications: Python proficiency; Java is advantageous.
Deep expertise with LLMs and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Strong system design, cloud-native architecture, and microservices background.
Experience with NoSQL databases and real-time data processing pipelines.
Strategic mindset and ability to balance hands-on coding with team leadership.
