Description
The CNC Setup Technician sets up and operates Okuma CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal machining centers, and related 3-axis and 5-axis machines to produce precision parts. The role includes interpreting blueprints and CAD models, performing first-article and ongoing quality inspections, adjusting machine settings, conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting, collaborating with CNC programmers, and training operators. The position typically requires 3–5 years of CNC setup and operation experience, knowledge of Okuma OSP controls and machining processes, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
