ITAC is seeking a Controls Engineer for a seconded, full-time contract assignment with a client in Wilmington, North Carolina, anticipated to last 1–2 years. The role involves developing controls for optical fiber manufacturing equipment, designing and testing control concepts, integrating hardware and software, and collaborating with equipment design, deployment, and manufacturing teams. Candidates need an electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar degree, at least two years of manufacturing experience with process and automation equipment, and expertise in electrical theory, instrumentation, PLCs, motion control, safety systems, and control panel design. The typical base salary is $100,000–$140,000, with health, vision, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
