Description
New Hanover County is hiring a full-time Custodian for its Facilities Management Department. The role cleans floors, stairwells, entryways, hallways, offices, break rooms, and restrooms; removes and disposes of trash; and reports equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Monday and Tuesday off, and flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies. The target hiring range is $35,360 to $47,736, with an incumbent range of $35,360 to $60,112. Applicants need education through the 8th grade, one year of progressively responsible work experience, a valid North Carolina driver's license with a good driving record, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.
