Description
The Director of Student-Athlete Well-Being serves within UNCW’s Counseling Center and is embedded in the Athletics Department, providing clinical services, education, resources, and programming to support student-athlete mental health and holistic development. The role builds relationships with student-athletes, coaches, campus and community partners, and Athletics staff; assesses mental health challenges; supports transitions to college and the UNCW environment; makes referrals; and upholds confidentiality, ethical, legal, HIPAA, licensure, university, NCAA, and CAA standards. The position requires a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling, eligibility for licensure as a North Carolina clinical mental health counselor, social worker, or psychologist, and two years of relevant experience. It is a full-time permanent role with a hiring range of $82,000 to $90,500.
