Description
Ferris State University is hiring a full-time Electrician for its Big Rapids main campus. The role performs skilled electrical installation, inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of wiring, equipment, signaling systems, power and lighting circuits, and emergency and standby systems. The position is continuing, normally scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and pays $30.91–$33.12 per hour. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a State of Michigan Journeyman Electrical License; a Master Electrician license is considered. The position includes training and overseeing other employees, operating service vehicles, maintaining safety standards, and performing other assigned electrical and mechanical duties.
