Description
The EMT-Paramedic drives an ambulance, rescues and transports sick and injured persons, administers emergency medical care, maintains records, prepares reports, and performs related work under the supervision of an EMS Captain or EMS Major. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Paramedic Certification, additional job-related certifications, and varying amounts of experience depending on the qualification step; EMT Basic and Advanced EMT applicants may be considered if qualified EMT-Paramedic applicants are unavailable. The position is safety-sensitive, requires random drug screenings, post-offer physical agility testing, and a current PPD vaccination.
