Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring a Reference Design Engineer to own the development and lifecycle management of reference designs. The role combines embedded systems engineering with technical communication, including creating and validating schematics, PCB layouts, block diagrams, embedded software, and web content for reference design assets. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, track designs in Salesforce, and travel up to 25% for training or regional support. The position requires an electrical engineering degree, at least five years of microcontroller or microprocessor embedded systems design experience, five years of 8- and 32-bit embedded C experience, and proficiency with schematic and PCB tools. The annual base salary range is $75,000 to $166,000, with health benefits beginning on day one.
