Samtec is hiring a Failure Analysis Engineer for its Engineering Support Group in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role performs root-cause analysis on optical-electronic devices, uses microscopy, sample preparation, X-ray, SEM/EDX, electrical testing, and fault localization, conducts environmental stress testing, develops analysis methods, and collaborates with customers, vendors, and internal teams. The position requires 1–3 years of physical failure analysis or related experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or science field, and the ability to work independently in a laboratory and cleanroom environment. It is a day-shift role paying $80,000–$110,000 per year plus bonuses and benefits.
