Description
Empathy is hiring a Financial Controller to own US finance and accounting responsibilities, including close processes, general ledger accuracy, reporting, forecasting, payroll, benefits-related finance work, multi-state tax compliance, EOR/PEO coordination, and incentive compensation administration. The role partners with RevOps, Marketing, Finance, Operations, People, Revenue, and other go-to-market teams on Salesforce processes, data quality, performance metrics, and operational decision-making. Candidates should be CPA or CPA-track, have startup, high-growth, or SaaS experience, understand expense or close software, international payroll, global EOR/PEO partners, and multi-state tax environments. The position is based in New York City and requires working from the Flatiron office three days per week.
