Description

OnLogic is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing and sustaining firmware and software for industrial computing products, working with various CPU, SoC, and microcontroller architectures. Responsibilities include defining firmware requirements, performing firmware and software development, guiding specific efforts, porting Linux device drivers, supporting x86 UEFI customizations, and validating firmware functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded firmware, experience with ARM SoCs, and a collaborative approach.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Required Previous Experiences: Experience leading targeted software / firmware design efforts
3+ years of firmware development experience, preferably with ARM SoCs in the industrial PC industry.
Experience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, firmware, and product testing.
Experience in embedded firmware and debugging using JTAG-based debuggers and logic analyzers.
Strong background in software design with C and Assembly.
Experience with version control systems like Git and the standard software development process.
Understanding of ARM or MCU architectures, firmware, and Linux.
Engineering aptitude for electronic/electrical systems.
Ability to understand schematics for software/hardware integration.
