Description

OnLogic is hiring a Firmware Engineer to develop and sustain firmware and software for industrial computing products across ARM, x86, and microcontroller architectures. The role covers firmware requirements, ARM device drivers, Linux drivers, x86 UEFI/BIOS, prototype validation, product certification, issue tracking, and customer support, with onsite work in South Burlington, Vermont, or Cary, North Carolina. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field, at least three years of firmware development experience, and strong C and Assembly skills; the salary range is $140,000 to $160,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Required Previous Experiences: At least 3 years of firmware development experience, preferably with ARM SoCs in the industrial PC industry
Experience leading targeted software or firmware design efforts
Experience collaborating across mechanical, electrical, firmware, and product testing disciplines
Experience with embedded firmware and debugging using JTAG-based debuggers and logic analyzers
Experience with Git and standard software development processes
Experience with ARM64 SoCs, including their architecture and operation
Experience with device trees in an ARM environment
Experience designing x86 or ARM-based motherboards, ideally for industrial applications
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ARM64 SoCs, including their architecture and operation
Experience with device trees in an ARM environment
Experience with ARM SoCs in the industrial PC industry
