Needham Animal Hospital is hiring a Grooming Assistant in Wilmington, North Carolina to support licensed and professionally trained groomers. The role involves bathing, blow-drying, brushing, restraining animals, preparing bathing areas, mixing shampoos and conditioners, maintaining workstations and cages, assisting with invoicing, and communicating with clients. Candidates should have compassion for animals, animal-handling and restraint experience or willingness to learn, customer-service and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. availability, a high school diploma or equivalent, and is at least 18 years old. Medical, vision, dental, and life insurance are offered to employees working 30 hours or more per week.
