Bird Construction is hiring an HSE Coordinator to report to the HSE Manager and support compliance with its industrial health, safety, and environment management program, applicable legislation, and client requirements. The role is based on a project site in Kelowna, British Columbia, and involves developing a proactive safety culture, coaching field personnel, identifying and controlling hazards, investigating incidents, maintaining safety documentation, conducting inspections, supporting toolbox and safety meetings, coordinating with clients and crews, and leading orientation and training initiatives. The position requires a National Construction Safety Officer designation, at least 10 years of HSE field experience, knowledge of Alberta occupational health and safety legislation, a valid driver's license, WCB claim management understanding, and relevant fall protection and confined-space training.
