The University of Colorado Colorado Springs is hiring an IT Systems Administrator to support its VMware and Linux server and workstation environment. The role configures Linux and Windows servers, administers Red Hat servers on VMware, bare metal, and containers, manages vSphere and ESXi hosts, performs maintenance and troubleshooting, uses Ansible and bash for automation, monitors systems, responds to incidents, supports research systems, documents work, and trains users. The position is hybrid, pays $62,856–$81,105 annually, and offers medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, experience with Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Puppet, and experience with Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Icinga, or PRTG; cloud, security, and Linux certifications are preferred.
