Laminar is hiring a Software Engineer, Edge Platform to build and maintain Linux-based software for its edge computing platform used in industrial manufacturing environments. The role involves developing services and tools, automating system provisioning, deploying applications with containers and virtual machines, integrating industrial communication protocols, improving reliability and monitoring, debugging failures, supporting ML inference workloads, and collaborating with senior engineers. Candidates should have strong Linux experience, programming experience in Python, Rust, C++, or Go, networking knowledge, Git familiarity, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on Linux experience with command-line, permissions, processes, services, package management, and logs.
Programming experience in Python, Rust, C++, or Go and familiarity with shell scripting.
Understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DNS, ports, and TCP/IP.
Familiarity with Git and a methodical approach to testing and debugging.
