Fridge Tech is hiring a Lead Backend Engineer (SE IV) in Chicago, Illinois, for an onsite three-days-per-week arrangement. The role owns end-to-end backend projects, leads technical architecture, reviews pull requests, mentors engineers, improves engineering practices, works with legacy and greenfield systems, and explores AI-assisted development. Candidates need 10+ years of software engineering experience, strong Go or equivalent language experience, hardware and Linux integration experience, and experience with LLM-assisted development.
