Description
AeroVironment is hiring a Lead Machine Learning Engineer for its Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in the MacCready Works division. The role leads computer vision and machine learning algorithm development for detection, classification, localization, and tracking across stationary and mobile sensor platforms, while also mentoring junior engineers and coordinating resources. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline, 5+ years of machine learning or computer vision experience, C/C++ or Python, deep learning and computer vision tooling, and U.S. citizenship. The position requires an active Secret-level DoD security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, occasional travel, and access to ITAR- or EAR-regulated information. The salary range is $158,000 to $241,000, with medical, dental, vision, 401K matching, and other benefits.
