Leidos’ Defense Sector – Directed Energy Division in Albuquerque, New Mexico is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to develop C/C++ software for electro-mechanical-optical experiments, including testbed control, data acquisition, optical tracking, real-time and embedded systems, and MATLAB/Simulink tools. The role leads software design, integration, testing, validation, and DevOps practices; mentors junior engineers; supports field testing; and communicates technical progress to Government customers. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, at least two years of experience for the master’s path, C/C++ and Linux experience, MATLAB/Simulink experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. The pay range is $87,100 to $157,450.
