Leidos’ Defense Sector – Directed Energy Division in Albuquerque, New Mexico is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead software architecture and development for electro-mechanical-optical experiments on an applied R&D contract. The role owns C/C++ software for testbed control, data acquisition, optical tracking, real-time and embedded systems, and related hardware interfaces; leads requirements, integration, field testing, validation, DevOps, and technical leadership; and collaborates with government researchers and customers. The position requires a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, 6–8+ years of experience, C/C++ and Linux development experience, MATLAB/Simulink experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. The pay range is $107,900 to $195,050.
