Capital One is hiring a Manager, Data Scientist - Recommendation & Personalization Systems to lead the development and deployment of personalized recommendation engines for web and mobile applications. The role partners with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers; uses Python, AWS, H2O, Spark, and other technologies; and builds machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation. Candidates must have a quantitative degree and relevant data analytics experience, with preferred qualifications including advanced degrees, Python, Scala, R, SQL, and AWS experience. The position is available in McLean, Virginia; New York, New York; and San Jose, California, with annual base salaries ranging from $197,300 to $245,600 depending on location.
