Description
Blend is hiring a Manager of Security Engineering to lead the day-to-day operations of a security engineering team responsible for product, platform, and software development lifecycle security. The role manages the team roadmap, hiring and expansion, technical execution, secure SDLC practices, red teaming, adversarial testing, security frameworks, and tooling, while partnering with security, product, platform, and infrastructure teams. The manager will also help define AI security practices for LLM-backed features, agentic systems, and MCP servers. Required capabilities include web application penetration testing, Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP, secure coding in TypeScript/JavaScript and Go, Linux systems, threat modeling with STRIDE, and SAST/DAST tooling; financial services or regulated-industry experience is a plus. The position offers a base salary of $152,000–$179,000, bonus eligibility, equity, and medical, dental, and vision benefits.
