Description
Nesco Resource is hiring a Mechanical Engineer III for an onsite Project Engineer role in Wilmington, North Carolina. The position supports the construction, installation, debugging, and startup of mechanical equipment and automated systems at domestic and international manufacturing sites, with the majority of time spent on the floor. Responsibilities include supervising engineering technicians and trades, developing project plans, troubleshooting equipment, modifying mechanical designs, coordinating with system integrators, preparing documentation, and procuring materials. The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and at least three years of manufacturing equipment experience, along with hands-on equipment work, process-variable knowledge, mechanical drive-train and actuator understanding, and familiarity with process piping and P&IDs. Travel may be required to manufacturing sites in North Carolina, India, China, and Europe, with a schedule of 40+ hours Monday through Friday and possible adjusted hours or weekends.
