Description
The Crop Underwriter processes insurance applications, production and acreage reports, policy information, and scanned documents; applies MPCI and FCIC underwriting rules; enters and corrects data; communicates with agents, FSA offices, field personnel, and policyholders; prepares reports and policy forms; and assists with training. The role requires knowledge of crop underwriting systems and rules, basic computer and keyboarding skills, mathematical ability, communication skills, confidentiality, and teamwork. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with either at least six months of Underwriter Assistant experience at Rain and Hail, at least one year of previous crop underwriting experience, or a baccalaureate degree.
