NCDIT-Transportation is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Expert to support the ongoing DMV NCMAX Cloud infrastructure build. The role focuses on understanding cloud architecture, bridging NCDIT-T and vendors, and building an Azure tenant from scratch. Responsibilities include designing cloud-based operating-system solutions, maintaining infrastructure as code through DevOps, providing a scalable platform for application development and deployment, and managing cloud network infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security. The position requires candidates to be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina, with on-site equipment collection, initial onboarding, and possible on-site participation; statewide travel is required and contractors must use their own vehicles.
