New Hanover County is hiring a Planning Coordinator to support the Planning and Land Use Department with planning data, development review, GIS mapping, spatial analysis, reporting, special-use permits, and customer service. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, computer science, GIS, or a related field plus one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, along with a valid North Carolina driver’s license. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with emergency work availability, and offers a target hiring range of $51,111 to $69,000 and a full incumbent range of $51,111 to $86,889.
