Description
The Liu Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a full-time temporary Postdoctoral Research Associate to study the evolutionary mechanisms underlying Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria pathogenicity, drug resistance, and persistence. The role will use large-scale clinical cohorts and bacterial isolates, develop population-genomic and statistical frameworks, integrate genomic, transcriptomic, phenotypic, and clinical data, and collaborate with computational biologists, microbiologists, and clinicians. A Ph.D. in microbiology, genetics, computational biology, or a related field is required, with microbial genomics, evolutionary biology, bioinformatics, or computational biology experience preferred.
