The Pre-Award Manager oversees all pre-award activities for the Sponsored Programs and Research Compliance (SPARC) office at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The role supervises and trains Sponsored Programs Officers, advises Principal Investigators and staff on proposals and budgets, reviews proposals for compliance with university and sponsor requirements, resolves complex pre-award issues, and supports proposal systems and reporting. The position requires a master’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with five or more years of pre-award research administration experience, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote.
