Description

Forcepoint is hiring a full-time Principal Cyber Engineer to lead the installation, configuration, integration, training, troubleshooting, and on-site support of COTS cyber products. The role also involves technical documentation, executive briefings, customer technical advising, complex REST API integrations, product feedback, and mentoring of Associate and Senior engineers. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least 8 years of cybersecurity experience, advanced knowledge of security technologies and cloud and network architectures, and strong collaboration and remote-work capabilities. The stated compensation range is 160,000.00 to 195,000.00.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of cybersecurity experience spanning practices, methodologies, application design, and/or operational environments
Experience with enterprise network architecture, zero trust networking, SD-WAN, advanced firewall and proxy configurations, and hybrid or cloud network security design
Experience troubleshooting complex installation or application errors and collaborating effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of the Forcepoint product portfolio
Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, SQL, and XML, with expert-level REST API integration and automation development
Experience with SOAR orchestration tools such as Splunk SOAR, Palo Alto XSOAR, or equivalent
CISSP or CISM certification, or cloud professional certification such as CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Cloud certification at the professional or specialty level and familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat-informed defense strategies
Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification, such as CISSP or CASP+, preferred for government-facing engagements
