KBR is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to support the Air Force Research Laboratory’s development team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role leads high-velocity data stream processing and mission-critical software systems, defines architecture and technical strategy, guides engineering teams through the software development lifecycle, leads integration and deployment activities, evaluates technologies, and mentors engineers. The position requires 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, advanced Java, Python, or object-oriented programming expertise, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI clearance with U.S. citizenship. It is 100% onsite with minimal travel and offers basic compensation of $142,800 to $214,200 for the Colorado Springs area.
