Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Principal Software Engineer - User Experience Applications to work full-time on-site in San Diego, California. The role supports software development across Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test in an Agile environment, with responsibilities including user interface design, Java Enterprise Edition and SOA solution development, and work with JMS, Web Services, XML, and related technologies. Candidates need a STEM bachelor’s degree with five years of related engineering experience or a STEM master’s degree with three years, experience across the software development life cycle, Agile development and testing, Java, C, C++, and Python, and an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance. The position requires an initial Special Access Program access and subsequent SAP PARs, offers up to 10% travel, and lists a primary salary range of $114,000 to $171,000.
