Northern Trust is hiring a Principal Site Reliability Architect/Engineer to establish architectural vision and resiliency strategy for critical enterprise platforms. The role owns resiliency guidelines, incident response and root-cause analysis, infrastructure and application automation, observability, and SRE governance while partnering with technology, product, development, and operations teams. It requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, at least five years of relevant experience, cloud and on-premises architecture expertise, distributed systems knowledge, programming or scripting ability, and IaC or configuration-management proficiency. The position offers a base salary of $137,400–$233,600 USD, comprehensive benefits, and does not provide U.S. employment-based visa sponsorship.
