Description
The Program Manager leads new product launch programs from request for quotation through start of production, coordinating R&D, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, Quality, Operations, SIOPs, and Engineering. The role manages timelines, customer and internal program reviews, product and process risks, capital requests, budgets, and the transfer of products and processes to Operations. It requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline, at least five years of program management experience, three to five years of program or product engineering experience, APQP and IATF 16949/ISO 9001 experience, and prior Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier experience. The position requires approximately 25% travel to customer and R&D or manufacturing sites in Detroit Metro and Buffalo, New York.
